THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION (POPI) ACT CONSENT FORM


The Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act 4 of 2013 requires us to inform you on how we use, disclose and destroy personal information we obtain from you. We are committed to protecting your privacy as our learners and will ensure that your personal information is used appropriately and according to the applicable law.
In respect of the POPI Act, I acknowledge and accept that:

1. My personal information may be collected, processed, recorded and used by the Global Goals Africa Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as “GG30”) for the duration of my learning programme.

2. GG30 may share my personal information with all the parties involved in the implementation of my learning programme.

3. I have the right to access my personal information which GG30 and all the parties involved in the implementation of my learning programme holds.

4. I have the right to request GG30 and all the parties involved in the implementation of my learning programme to update, correct or delete my personal information on reasonable grounds.

5. After completion of my learning programme with GG30, GG30 shall be authorised to retain my personal information in their data base in order to send me correspondence regarding marketing material and for alumni communications.

6. Should I wish to withdraw my consent to process my personal information, I must do so in writing, addressed to GG30.

7. Once I withdraw my consent for GG30 to process my personal information, I understand that GG30 and all the parties involved in the implementation of my learning programme are still obliged under other legislation to keep the information for 5 (FIVE) years after termination of the relationship between myself and GG30.

8. GG30 and all the parties involved in the implementation of my learning programme may disclose my information where they have a duty or a right to disclose in terms of applicable legislation or where it may be necessary under other law.
