Our bespoke academic programme where heart and mind come together

One of the joys of the work we do is being able to see the tangible difference that our purpose-led and world class education training delivery can make in people’s lives. It’s an absolute honour to be able to use the transformative power of education. We’re proud of how we’ve made impact on the lives of ordinary South Africans through our Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) Academic Programme.

It was back in 2019 that we were approached, as leaders in financial services’ education, to create a bespoke programme for the IIG in response to the growing challenge of youth unemployment. The programme has taken off over the years and we’re pleased to announce the graduation of the cohort that completed the course over the 2024-2025 period.

Our call for applications last year drew hundreds of applications from unemployed South Africans. We heard heartbreaking stories of people who’d completed courses that didn’t assist them in finding work. Either they had been given little or no proper advice on career paths to consider.

Fast forward to this year and after an extensive, holistic learning journey, we’ve now had the pleasure of seeing the latest cohort of 17 learners’ graduate.
