GIFS goes high because our GIFSters go higher everyday

 

GIFSters are renowned for their passion and commitment to continuing Madiba’s legacy. We often hear from stakeholders how our team members have gone above and beyond to deliver super service. We’re proud to honour the recipients of our GIFS’ Internal Awards 2024.

 

CEO’s Choice Award

Who’s that colleague you go to because you know they’ll make it happen? In our case, there were several contenders in the CEO’s Choice category. Our CEO makes the call and he shared how tough the decision was because of the calibre of the nominees. In the end, we’re proud to announce Minisha Naidoo as the winner of the GIFS CEO’s Choice Award 2024. She was praised for commitment to the brand, service excellence and for being a consistent superstar.

 

People’s Choice Award

What an honour for us to be able to recognise this recipient. There were several nominees put forward by the GIFSters who felt these team members have consistent care for team work and respect. The award was decided by GIFSters on the basis of the individual’s dedication to a key pillar of our GIFS’ Excellence Formula, specifically how they approach work and have fun even through the challenging aspects. Congratulations to Christina Jenkins, our GIFS People’s Choice 2024 winner!

 

Culture Award

Thanks to Confucius for pointing out that if you choose a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life. Several GIFSters’ names were put forward to our executive team that decided the winner in our Culture category for commitment to the GIFS’ Excellence Formula. We heard how these team members do what it takes to ensure success, even when things aren’t going to plan. They’re forward-thinking, innovative and true to the power of green! Join us in congratulating our GIFS’ Culture Award 2024 recipient Nelson Phiri!

 

Fast Growth Award

In 2024, who hit the ground running and displayed tremendous growth in their area of work? There were numerous nominees (this is GIFS after all!) It was no surprise however when the executive team decided to bestow the GIFS Fast Growth Award 2024 to none other than Reuben Ingram and Nicholas Sivalingam. Well-deserved.

 

Department of the Year

2024 will have a special place in GIFS’ history. We kicked off the year in style and championed causes on behalf of industry. This was aside from our core work. We made young people’s dreams come true by ensuring they received their certificates which allowed them to empower their families. It takes a village or (in our case) it took dynamism from our various departments. There was one standout team and we’re proud to acknowledge Team Audit as our first-ever winners of the GIFS’ Department of the Year Award.

 

Service Awards

We also acknowledge the commitment of GIFSters who’ve been bringing their own brand of magic to the GIFS’ world for several years. Thank you for your passion to your work. You are GIFS!
