#TheFutureOfEducation: a lekker session with some pretty cool people

This month, we hung out in cyberspace with a bunch of kif people for our #FutureOfEducation session. Unlike other webinars that bore your broeks off, this was a virtual info jol – with a (koeksuster) twist!

We unmasked what the future of education will be like and how GIFS can help the Financial Services Sector get its mojo back. We shared some moerse ideas and got the conversation flowing about what skills and competencies are needed to be successful in the banking and insurance spaces, and how we’ve tweaked our high-performance learning programmes to meet the requirements of the new now – or for us South Africans, the “new now-now”.

Supported distance learning, online exams, theoretical knowledge coupled with hands-on practical training are some of the ways that GIFS graduates are super-prepared for what’s going on in our sector and why they are better placed than anyone else for the “next now”.

We introduced our Insurance Kickstart Programme, designed to breathe new life into the industry, shared what the most in-demand skills are right now, explained how online exams will roll out and why QCTO (Quality Council for Trades & Occupations) will supercharge our sector.

In-between the laughs, fist-bumps, skinner and lively debate, we unveiled the new kid on the GIFS block: the African Resources Training Group (ARTG). With ARTG now under our wing, GIFS is the only education provider in South Africa to offer three QCTO accredited programmes: QCTO Organisational Risk Practitioner Level 6, QCTO Insurance Agent: Insurance Underwriter and QCTO Occupational Certificate Insurance. Pretty cool, huh? We think so too!

For us, it’s always about spreading knowledge and we did a little happy dance (in our minds, of course) to have so many fab mense share in the experience. But eish! if you missed out, we’d be more than happy to fill you in over a coffee/tea or virtual meet. Let us know at [email protected] or 0861 114 798.

Or, you can download our Prospectus here and then set up a “date”. We’re always up for tea/coffee.
